Some people call this zucchini rice nevertheless, if you feel like making a dish with zucchini noodles and only have a food processor at home, I say go for it. This doesn’t look like noodles, and you’re right. If you are in a hurry and need to fill your tummy with delicious zucchini pasta asap, this is the method for you. But I bet some of you didn’t know that you can use a julienne peeler to make zucchini noodles as well. Julienne peeler is a handy kitchen utensil that cuts vegetables into thin strips, known as julienne cut. It’s a perfect tool to use when you want to dress up your salads, soups or stir fries. Who needs another appliance that will be left unused for months and months, collecting dust in your kitchen? So let’s take a look at other methods of making zucchini noodles. I do have to admit that even though a spiralizer is pretty affordable, I don’t think it’s worth investing in if you’re not planning on making vegetable noodles often. Ever since I got my spiralizer (you can see the exact model here), I started having zucchini pasta at least once a week. Mushy zucchini noodles are not something I’m a big fan of, to be honest. I really like how bouncy and firm these noodles turn out. But that’s a story for another blog post. You wouldn’t believe how many times I ended up spiralizing way too many zucchinis and had to eat zucchini noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I even included it in my top 5 kitchen appliances for a healthy kitchen. Spiralizer is as fancy as you get when it comes to making zucchini noodles. In fact, you probably already have all the tools you need to turn a boring looking zucchini into fun noodles or pasta ribbons. You don’t need any fancy equipment to make homemade zucchini noodles.
